Hundreds of people were stood in the street after Liverpool's Empire Theatre was evacuated.
People attending School of Rock's opening night at the theatre were evacuated from the auditorium just minutes before the end of the second act. According to ECHO reporters covering opening night, a crew member for the cast and a number of ushers told a few people they needed to evacuate, and no official announcement was made.
Now, hundreds of people are standing on Lime Street and Lord Nelson Street in the city centre as they wait to hear more information.

No emergency services have arrived at the Empire Theatre, and audience members are currently waiting for more information on why they were evacuated and if they will be able to return to their seats.
People were able to return to their seats around one hour after being evacuated, with staff telling people it was a "false alarm". The ECHO has contacted Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police, who said they were not called to the theatre this evening.
Liverpool's Empire Theatre was approached for comment.
