Here are the latest Premier League headlines on Sunday, March 27:
Lloris speaks of Spurs progression under Conte
Newcastle United continue a tough run of fixtures as they return from the international break to face a Tottenham Hotspur side battling for a top-four place. Under Nuno Espirito Santo, qualification for the Champions League looked beyond Spurs this season, but Antonio Conte has helped the team to some improved performances and results since taking over.
Spur goalkeeper and captain, Hugo Lloris has spoken of the 'progression' the team have made under the Italian. The Frenchman was speaking on international duty and said:
"Since the arrival of Conte, we feel a real progression. We have the feeling that we are crossing a plateau. I think we will be ready to go for the European places.”
Eddie Howe's side travel to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday May 3.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles set for Premier League return
One of the transfer dramas of the 2021/22 season was Ainsley Maitland-Niles being refused an exit from Arsenal to Everton during the summer window. The versatile Englishman took to social media to complain about his move being denied and he was eventually allowed to move on loan to Roma in January.
The Mirror has reported that he will seek a permanent transfer back to the Premier League in the summer and that Arsenal will accept significantly less than the £10million he would have moved to Everton for, given that he will have only a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates.
