Hugh Bonneville says he is feeling “content” with the direction his life is now heading after a turbulent period that included the loss of his mother, brother and father over six years, followed by the end of his 25-year marriage.
The 62-year-old actor’s mother Patricia — whom he later discovered had worked for MI6 — died aged 85 in 2014. His brother Nigel then passed away unexpectedly in his sleep two years later, before his father John, a surgeon, died in 2020 aged 93 after a battle with dementia.
