Huge emergency response as person suffers 'minor electric shock'

Emergency services responded in force after a person suffered a "minor electric shock".

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) were called to Old Hall Street in Liverpool City Centre at 4.58pm on Tuesday, January 10, following reports of an incident. Three fire engines and one aerial appliance were sent to the scene and arrived at 5.05pm.

On arrival firefighters found one person had suffered a minor electric shock. Crews carried out first aid at the scene and advised the person to take themselves to A&E.

Merseyside Police were also at the scene, but left a short time after.

A spokesperson from MFRS said: "Crews were alerted at 4.58pm and on scene at 5.05pm. Three fire engines and an aerial appliance were sent to the scene.

"On arrival crews found one person had suffered a minor electric shock. Firefighters provided first aid to the individual and they were advised to self present at hospital."
