Shoppers enjoying a coffee-to-go or a sit down drink at a high street chain may not realise the ‘huge differences’ in caffeine between brands like Greggs, Costa and Pret. And it could be problematic for some customers who aren’t sure how much they’re consuming.
A new study taken by consumer experts at Which? has revealed that some brands have as much as five times more caffeine in their drinks than others, The Mirror reports.
The team looked at the amount of caffeine at chain coffee shops, including Costa, Starbucks, Greggs, Pret-a-Manger and Caffe Nero, comparing the milligrammes of caffeine, and there were some staggering findings.
