Sunderland climbed to 12th in the Championship table following their 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town. Alex Pritchard scored on his return to his former club to set the Black Cats on their way to victory early in the second period.
And Amad added the second in injury-time as Sunderland his the Terriers on the counter-attack. It was a first away win since mid-September for Tony Mowbray's side, and it brought them into midtable.
Huddersfield remain bottom of the table having won just one of their last five games.
