Is it truly a family gathering until the blood pressure monitor comes out and everyone has a go? Or am I just from a long line of hypochondriacs?
It seems to be a popular activity with my household and the extended members (yes, we know how to party). Everyone in my family either has low or high blood pressure that requires constant monitoring and yet we seem loathed to invest in our own monitors, instead preferring to all take a turn on my mum’s antique. As each new person takes the hot seat, the rest of us wait in anticipation for the results that are often met with gasps, groans or awe - 110 over 70 is the gold dust.
