Wales attempt to avoid a record-breaking defeat as Australia travel to Cardiff this afternoon.
Having lost to Fiji last weekend, Warren Gatland’s side have now been beaten in 10 Test matches in a row, equalling the nation’s previous worst losing streak back in in 2002 and 2003.
The focus, then, will be on avoiding an 11th straight defeat, but confidence will not high in the Welsh ranks.
Since Gatland returned for a second stint in charge in 2022, Wales have won only six of 22 matches, and have not tasted victory since beating Georgia at last year’s World Cup.
Australia, meanwhile, will be buoyed by their win at Twickenham a week ago, when Max Jorgensen went over with the final play of the match to snatch victory in the most dramatic of circumstances.
