Manchester City have the opportunity to bounce back from the weekend's disappointing draw with Nottingham Forest when facing RB Leipzig in the Champions League this week.
Pep Guardiola's side also have a point to prove in Germany after tasting defeat to Leipzig in the final game of last season's group stage. City had already topped their group when they suffered that loss, but a repeat on Wednesday would be altogether more damaging in their two-legged first knockout round tie.
Marco Rose is now in charge of the German side, meaning Guardiola will face a third different Leipzig head coach inside 18 months. Jesse Marsch's side were beaten 6-3 in Manchester before City lost 2-1 to Leipzig under interim boss Achim Beierlorzer after Marsch was sacked two days before the reverse fixture.
