How to watch England vs Portugal as Lionesses prepare for World Cup send-off - Live stream and TV channel

England ramp up their World Cup preparations this weekend with a send-off match against Portugal in Milton Keynes.

The Lionesses came together at St George's Park earlier this month to begin their training camp ahead of this summer's tournament in Australia and New Zealand. Following last year's success at the Euros on home soil, Sarina Wiegman's side will hope to go a step further this year and be crowned the best team in the world.

First, before they head down under, England will test themselves against Portugal at Stadium MK on Saturday afternoon in what will be the final chance to see them play at home before they head to Australia. The Lionesses will then face Canada in a behind-closed-doors friendly on the Sunshine Coast before they begin their campaign against Haiti on July 22.

Portugal will also be competing at the World Cup this summer and will fly out to New Zealand ahead of their opening group stage fixture against the Netherlands on July 23. Here's all you need to know about Saturday's encounter...

Where is England vs Portugal?

England will host Portugal at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes. The 30,000-capacity stadium has been regularly used by the Lionesses, including during the 2023 Arnold Clark Cup.

Stadium MK was also a host stadium at the Euros last year, however none of England's six games were played there.

When is England vs Portugal and what time does it kick off?

England will take on Portugal on Saturday, July 1 just a matter of days before they fly out to Australia for the World Cup. Kick-off will be at 3:15pm BST.

Which TV channel is England vs Portugal on?

The game will be shown live on ITV1 with coverage starting at 2:30pm. It can also be streamed on ITVX.

What is the England team news?

Despite ramping up her recovery from a knee injury ahead of the World Cup, captain Millie Bright will not be ready for Saturday's meeting with Portugal. The defender told the media earlier this week: "I think Saturday will be a little bit too soon. I'm not back with the girls and I don't want to rush that. I'm gutted not to make that one, but at the same time, I'm exactly where I want to be."

Wiegman relieved any concerns over the fitness of Alex Greenwood on Friday after the defender was pictured limping off the pitch during a training session at St George's Park earlier this week. Greenwood will be fit enough to be involved, although the England boss did confirm Jordan Nobbs will miss Saturday's clash against Portugal, along with Bright.
