His closest rival, teammate George Russell, is currently 25 points behind, and with Russell around half a second adrift throughout the weekend so far, a podium finish from his starting position of P3 may be his best chance to keep the gap to a minimum.
Antonelli has been hampered by reliability issues in two of the last three races, costing him at least a podium in Barcelona and what looked like a certain victory at Silverstone. As a result, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc climbed to the top step of the podium for the first time since 2024, making it two wins from the last three races for the Scuderia.
Lewis Hamilton is also just seven points behind George Russell in the standings, and with the two Ferraris right behind Russell on the starting grid, in P4 and P5, they'll surely look to maximize Spa's mix of high- and medium-speed corners and eye a podium finish.
McLaren’s Lando Norris, who qualified P3, will start from P13 after being handed a 10-place grid penalty for using too many engine parts. With Oscar Piastri in P6, the Papaya team are once again looking at a middling weekend.
The biggest talking point heading into Belgium surrounded Red Bull and Max Verstappen, who's rumored to be considering a move, potentially to McLaren. After crashes in Silverstone and Austria, he did well to secure P2 in qualifying, albeit with a tow from teammate Isack Hadjar. Hadjar entered qualifying with little to gain, as he was already set to start from the back of the grid after using multiple additional power unit elements.
