Arsenal meet Manchester City in the Premier League for the first time in 13 months on Wednesday in what has become one of the most anticipated matches of the 2022/23 season.
The intrigue only intensified ahead of this one after Pep Guardiola 's side knocked Mikel Arteta's out in the FA Cup fourth round less than three weeks ago. That was the sixth successive time that Man City have beaten Arsenal across all competitions dating back to October 2020,
This match was originally due to be played back in October, but, at the club's request, it was rearranged from that date in agreement with City and the Premier League. Arsenal asked to do so in order to accommodate the home Europa League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven, which had already been postponed.
