The CBRS-3 is the newest SMG introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 4, boasting a blend of massive magazine capacity, strong range, and controllable recoil.
You can unlock the CBRS-3 for free by progressing to the BO7 and Warzone Season 4 Battle Pass Page 6 and reaching the High Value Target (HVT) tier. You won’t need to buy the premium or BlackCell variant of the battle pass to unlock this SMG.
How to unlock CBRS-3 fast in BO7 and Warzone
The CBRS-3 submachine gun is available through the Season 4 Battle Pass as a base weapon on Page 6 HVT. You might need around 25 Battle Pass tokens to reach Page 6 and eventually the HVT tier, which becomes available after unlocking the standard rewards on the page.
That said, the fastest way to unlock the weapon is by earning Battle Pass XP as efficiently as possible. To do that, complete daily and weekly challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Focus on objective-based modes, which generally provide more XP than simply chasing eliminations. While you’re at it, use Double Battle Pass XP tokens whenever available.
A store bundle featuring a blueprint for the CBRS-3 might also pop up in the in-game store after the Season 4 launch. Purchasing it will instantly unlock the SMG. If you miss out on unlocking the weapon during Season 4, it will become available via the Armory challenges.
CBRS-3 stats and Prestige Attachment
The CBRS-3 is a full-auto SMG built for sustained fire. Unlike most SMGs that sacrifice magazine size for mobility, the CBRS-3 comes with an enormous 60-round magazine by default.
- Levels: 36
- Base Magazine Size: 60 Rounds
- Magazines: 3
- Mastery Badges: Yes
- Attachment Slots: 9 (Optic, Muzzle, Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, Rear Grip, Stock, Laser, Fire Mods
- Customization: Blueprints, Camos, Reticles, Accessories, Decals, Sticker
The CBRS-3’s Prestige attachment, the MFS Carousel Fast Mag, is a lightweight 60-round magazine that automatically rechambers rounds, reducing interruptions during sustained fire while also improving reload speed and handling.
How the CBRS-3 compare to other SMGs in BO7 and Warzone
While most SMGs prioritize close-range aggression, the CBRS-3 leans more toward sustained fire and versatility. Its biggest selling point is the massive 60-round base magazine, which is the largest in its class. With the Redwell Sprocket Mag equipped, that capacity can increase to 75 rounds. That’s pretty useful in Warzone, where the ability to engage multiple opponents without reloading can give you a big advantage.
The CBRS-3 also has exceptional range and recoil control compared to other SMGs. Those who like to challenge enemies beyond typical close-range engagements will appreciate how consistent the weapon feels, especially in Warzone where fights often take place across multiple ranges.
The tradeoff is that the CBRS-3 is not as nimble as some of the faster SMGs like the Kogot-7, VST, or Ryden 45K. Its handling feels slightly heavier, and its unique magazine system can take some getting used to.
All CBRS-3 Prestige Camos
Below are the unique Prestige Camos you can earn for the CBRS-3:
- Prestige 1: Spectogram
- Prestige 2: Fluid
- Prestige Max (Level 250): Chameleon
All Weapon Prestige Camos are universal, that means you can apply these to other weapons as well.
There’s also a new marksman rifle, the KRS-7.62, which you can unlock in Season 4. To know more about what’s coming in the season, check out our roadmap breakdowns for both Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
