Mace is a melee weapon in Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 5 and is quite useful in close-range fights. The unlock path is tied to seasonal progression, so you’ll need to pay attention to Weekly Challenges.
How to unlock the Mace in BO7 and Warzone
Mace can be unlocked for free through Week 2 Weekly Challenges in BO7 and Warzone. You don’t need to buy a store bundle to get it if you finish the challenge track on time.
Focus on the Weekly Challenges section as soon as Week 2 goes live. Currently, Week 1 Challenges are live. The weapon becomes available after you complete the full challenge set for that week, so missing even a few tasks can slow you down.
If you are also playing Warzone, the same seasonal challenge track applies there, making the progress easier. The fastest way to unlock Mace is to knock out the Weekly Challenges early instead of waiting until the last few days of the week.
Play the mode you are most comfortable with, then stack objectives whenever possible so you are not wasting matches on single tasks. If a challenge requires kills, assists, or objective play, build a class around speed and consistency rather than trying to force a flashy setup.
Mace details in BO7 and Warzone
The Mace has 30 levels in total, with Mastery Badges. Since it’s a melee weapon, there are no attachments available, but it comes with customizable options as Blueprints.
It can deal high damage at longer ranges than usual melee weapons and has a slow attack speed. Once you Prestige the melee, you unlock the Mace camo; yes, the weapon and skin share the same name.

What are the best modes to play to unlock the Mace?
If you want to unlock the melee fast in BO7, choose the mode that lets you complete multiple objectives at once. Small maps and respawn modes usually make challenge grinding easier because you get more action in less time.
In Warzone, focus on contracts, map control, and survival-based tasks if those are part of the weekly list.
