How to secure tickets for Coldplay Music of Spheres World Tour 2023 with these tips

After six sell-out shows at Wembley, Coldplay have added two extra UK dates to their 'Music of The Spheres' World Tour, and tickets go on sale tomorrow. From 10am on Thursday August 25, fans will be able to buy tickets for their extended Manchester and Cardiff shows, and tickets are expected to go quickly.

Over the last two weeks the band have wowed crowds in London with their immersive concert, which has got fans across the country wanting to catch a glimpse. The concert is also one of the first in the world to be powered by fans with the use of kinetic floors and exercise bikes that fuel the lights, staging and set.

Trying to buy tickets for an expected sell-out gig can be stressful, especially if they all go within minutes. Being ready and waiting to click into the queue can be the make or break between watching them live.

We've put together a list of tried and tested tips to help you get to the front of the online queue, which can be applied to any site you buy tickets through.

Make an account

It doesn't matter whether you're buying through Ticketmaster or SeeTickets, or any other reliable ticket site, having an account ready to go will help speed up the process. Creating an account, or digging out your username and password can stop potential delays when trying to join the sale queue. Create an account, add all your personal details including your home address before tickets go live.

Payment at the ready

Update your billing information on your account to ensure you have the correct card to buy the tickets. This is always good to check, especially if you don't buy tickets often, your account could have an expired card logged.

Re-entering card details in the Coldplay queue would take a valuable minute out of the queue.

Doing this the day before reduces the chances of making a mistake on the billing details. Ticketmaster are known for checking that the account name and details match the home address where tickets will be sent.

The 20 minute rule

Log on with plenty of time before the tickets go on sale, a chance to select the right dates and open other venue dates just in case your ideal arena sells-out.

That being said there are only two UK venues for next year's Coldplay two at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and one at Cardiff's Prinicpality Stadium so why not open a seperate tab for each venue.

The more devices, the better

You can log onto ticketmaster and try joining the queue on more than one device. So once the queue opens you can keep your options open as to whatever device is further ahead.

Ticketmaster and SeeTickets both have mobile apps which you can use to buy tickets at the same time as the browser's open on your desktop.

Know when to refresh

When it comes to refreshing the webpage, the exact timing can make the difference between getting to the front or back of the queue.

It's a useful thing to do before the queue opens as you wait to click into the line, but whatever you do do not refresh once you have joined the online queue as this will boot you to the very back.
