Why a Paper Will Is No Longer Enough
A traditional will handles property and money. It says nothing about the email account tied to every bank login, the cloud storage holding fifteen years of photographs, or the subscription that auto-renews from a card nobody else knows exists. When a family member is hospitalised or dies, the first practical crisis is almost always digital: a phone that will not unlock, a bank that requires two-factor authentication to a number nobody can reach, a laptop encrypted behind a forgotten PIN. The handover note exists to solve that problem before it becomes one.
