As predicted, the window of respite for London renters was narrow. Rents in the capital hit a record high in January, while the number of homes available to rent dropped by 71 per cent since last year.
Like any good London millennial I’ve had my fair share of rental homes and have learned some tricks to avoiding the very worst of the situation. There’s not a lot you can do to beat a rising rental market but the following hard-won hacks may help.
