How to get tickets to The Queen's Platinum Jubilee party at Buckingham Palace

The BBC has announced exciting details for a national ballot where 5000 members of the public will be selected to visit Buckingham Palace to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this summer.

Each ballot winner will receive a pair of free tickets to sit in the audience of a once-in-a-lifetime concert due to take place in the palace grounds.

Hopefuls can apply for ballot tickets online up until March 23 2022.

On February 6 2022, The Queen became the first British monarch to reach a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service.

The lavish royal bonanza is set to happen on Saturday June 4, 2022, celebrating The Queen's record-breaking number of years on the throne.

For those not lucky enough to get their mitts on a ticket, the BBC will broadcast the concert live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio 2.

The party will reportedly boast a range of musicians, from pop stars to rock royalty and opera singers, with a full orchestra in the wings.

Charlotte Moore, BBC Chief Content Officer, says: “The Platinum Party at the Palace is set to be one of the highlights of Her Majesty The Queen’s landmark Jubilee festivities weekend and one of the biggest concerts in a generation.

"The BBC is honoured to be bringing every moment of this live event to millions watching and listening at home, and on outdoor screens across the UK and around the world.”
