The Falling Skies chapter in Escape from Tarkov requires you to find the Flight Recorder, and finding it can be annoying if you don't know the location.
Finding the recorder is only one part of the task, as you'll need to place it at the correct spot. This guide will teach you everything that needs to be done for the quest to be completed without any hassle.

Flight Recorder location in Escape from Tarkov
The first task is to retrieve the Flight Recorder. You'll have to locate the aeroplane debris first on the Woods map. I have marked the location in the screenshot below, and you'll find the broken aeroplane.

Go to the tail of the plane, and you'll find the spot where it snapped from the main body. Look down at the ground, and you'll find the Flight Recorder. Interact with it to add it to your backpack, and this will complete the first task.

Where to place the Flight Recorder in Escape from Tarkov
The second part of the task involves traveling to the Shoreline map. I have marked the location where you'll need to be. The objective is to place the recorder in the main mouldy hut located at Scav Island.

Once you find the hut, go in through the main entrance. From the main room, turn left and follow the path till you reach another room with a broken wall. You'll be able to see the water body from there. Hide the recorder in the corner, and your quest is complete.

It takes five seconds to hide the recorder. On the way, you'll meet enemies. If you die, you'll have to begin from the start (retrieve the recorder once again). Hence, bring your best possible gear to complete the quest without any hiccups.
