The West’s second-seed Memphis Grizzlies are back on track and riding a three-game winning streak after having lost four of their prior seven games. But to keep pace with the Western Conference’s also-surging three-seed Golden State Warriors, the Grizzlies will have to do so without their MVP (+3000) and MIP (-2000) candidate Ja Morant.
Morant will miss Tuesday night’s game against the Pacers as he nurses a back injury. But Morant’s absence isn’t a new thing for Memphis. Here’s what you should know:
Morant missed nearly a month earlier in the season (12 games) and the Grizzlies went 10-2 during that period with seven double-digit victories.
