How to access Amazon Prime Day deals without paying for a membership

Exclusively for members, Amazon's annual Prime Day sale sees prices of thousands of products slashed across the popular e-commerce site. To gain access to these discounted deals, customers must first be an Amazon Prime member, which means paying £8.99 a month or £95 a year.

During Amazon Prime Day, members have access to various deals across multiple departments - including electronics, home appliances, fashion, beauty, and more. Prime Day offers significant discounts on popular products and new deals are frequently released throughout the event.

This year, Prime Day will begin at midnight on Tuesday, July 11, and lasts a whole 24 hours, with the event featuring personalised deals from top brands. The event first began on July 15, 2015, as a way to celebrate Prime members on Amazon's 20th birthday.

However, there is a way you can access these deals without having to pay for a full Prime membership. Below is a look at all you need to know.

How to get Amazon Prime Day access for free

To get access to the exclusive deals, you need to be a member of Amazon Prime. Typically, this would cost £8.99 per month or £95 per year, if you're a student you can get it for £4.49 per month or £47.49 per year.

However, there is a free way to get Amazon Prime Day deals and that's by signing up to a free 30 day trial. This will grant you access to all Prime member benefits, including the exclusive deals. Before the trial expires, you can either cancel it, or continue it by paying.

Being a member gives you unlimited next day delivery, same day delivery, thousands of movies and TV shows on Prime Video. As well as unlimited full-resolution photo storage and unlimited access to more than a thousand eBooks, popular magazines and comics.

While Prime Day doesn't start until Tuesday, major brands have already slashed their prices in anticipation. The Amazon Fire TV Stick has been slashed to £24.99 down from £44.99, but if you want to get hold of it for £9.99, all you need to do is sign up to money-saving deals site TopCashback.

You can also get your hands on the Amazon Fire Stick Lite which is now down to £21.99 from £34.99 - but it could be yours for just £6.99.
