How much Ivan Perisic will earn at Tottenham as Inter Milan ace stays overnight at Hotspur Way

Ivan Perisic has arrived in London ahead of sealing a summer transfer to Tottenham. Joining Inter Milan in 2015 from German side Wolfsburg, the Croatian international will depart the San Siro on a free transfer at the end of June when his contract officially expires.

Linked with a transfer to the Premier League in the past, the 33-year-old will now sign on the dotted line at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and be reunited with his former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte. Operating at left wing-back for the Nerazzurri, Perisic will strengthen such a key position in the Italian's Spurs system and also add some much-needed experience to the squad.

Ahead of his move to Tottenham, football.london understands that the player stayed at The Lodge, the club's state-of-the-art accomodation for the team, at Tottenham's Hotspur Way training base on Sunday night. Perisic, who suffered a calf injury in Inter Milan's last game of the season, will now undergo his medical on Monday and complete the formalities of his move to Tottenham, with the highly-rated player set to sign a two-year contract in N17.

football.london understands that the Croatian international will sign a deal worth €6million (£5.1m) a year, which works out at £98,000 a week. Once Perisic clinches his move to Tottenham and links up with his new teammates for pre-season training, he will be looking to make the left wing-back berth his own.

Sergio Reguilon started the season as Spurs' first-choice option on the left before falling behind Ryan Sessegnon in the pecking order in the final few months of the campaign. Not exactly getting much joy from both wing-backs in the final third, Perisic, on the other hand, chipped in with ten goals and nine assists from his 49 games in all competitions for Inter in 2021/22.

Conte made it clear back in February that Tottenham needed experienced players to help the team grow and be competitive quicker, with the club's new addition set to give him exactly what he wants. Playing a major role in Croatia's run to the 2018 World Cup final, the ex-Borussia Dortmund man has won two Bundesliga titles, Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League during his career so far.
