Unforgotten continues its new series on ITV on Monday night, after viewers continue to get used to a change of personnel in the aftermath of Nicola Walker's dramatic departure.
It was eight years ago, back in 2015, that Unforgotten first debuted on ITV, with viewers swiftly hooked on the investigations of London detectives, DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker) and DI Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar), as they solve cold cases of disappearance and murder.
After the first three series of Unforgotten proved to be a huge success, production on on series 4 was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic and when it did eventually come to air, it ended with a twist that left fans devastated, when Cassie lost her life after a car accident.

Nicola has been replaced in the new series, by another lead actress, Sinead Keenan, in the role of in the shape of DCI Jessica 'Jess' James.
Unforgotten series 5 has been focused on a murder investigation, following the discovery of human remains in a newly renovated period property in Hammersmith.
How many episodes of Unforgotten are there on ITV?
There are SIX episodes in Unforgotten series 5, each airing on Mondays at 9pm and the final one airing on April 3.
A teaser for the sixth and final installment of series four reads: "hen a second victim is linked to the case the team is faced with the possibility of a double murder. Jess and Sunny must now decipher which of the suspects is telling the truth so justice can finally be served.
