Yuki Tsunoda says he has found “the right direction” under the guidance of new Red Bull Formula 1 boss Laurent Mekies. The Japanese driver reveals he is now running set-ups more similar to the ones he used at Racing Bulls.
Tsunoda delivered his best weekend of the current F1 campaign during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. In a chaotic qualifying session, the Japanese driver kept his cool and reached Q3. On Sunday, Tsunoda followed up with P6, his best result at Red Bull. Even more importantly, he finished ahead of Lando Norris, precisely what Red Bull wants to see from him: helping Max Verstappen by taking points off rivals.
