Alleigha Botner, the former mistress of American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn, has denied helping him plan the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Her lawyer, Nick Gounaris, says the disturbing messages exchanged between the pair do not establish that his client participated in the killing.
Flynn, 40, was convicted of aggravated murder and other offences following a trial in Ohio. Ashley, 37, was shot twice in the head while she slept in the couple's home in Tipp City on 16 February 2026. On 5 October, Judge Jeannine Pratt sentenced Flynn to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
