RB Salzburg are reportedly interested in signing Tromso's Jens Hjerto-Dahl this summer.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with Cardiff, while Rangers have been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.
However, according to a report in Norway, Danny Rohl could now rival his former club for the signature of Hjerto-Dahl.
Nordlys report that Salzburg, led by Rohl after his Rangers exit, are interested in signing Hjerto-Dahl this window.
Feyenoord are also reportedly interested in Hjerto-Dahl, with Cardiff having submitted a £7.8m bid to try and land the midfielder.
Grilled on a possible switch to Cardiff, the midfielder said: "No comment. If it happens, you will get all the info you want, but now the focus is on TIL.
"We will see. I will contribute as long as I can and I am already looking forward to next week. I hope so [that I can play second leg]."
On potentially having played his final game for Tromso, he said: "If this was my last game, I hope I have done other things apart from that penalty miss that people will remember.
"If something happens, all the information will come out, but right now I have to keep my focus on Tromso. I will contribute as long as I can, and I'm already looking forward to the return leg next week.
"I hope I can play in that. Hopefully I have done other things at the club that will stay in fans' minds. I hit a bad penalty, but these things happen."
