How Congress, BJP clashed over I-N-D-I-A vs Bharat

NEW DELHI: A war of words has ensued between the BJP and the Congress after the 26 opposition parties met in Bengaluru on Tuesday and decided to name their bloc as I-N-D-I-A, an acronym for Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.

The BJP was quick to respond over the renaming of the opposition grouping from the earlier Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) to INDIA. In its first reaction, the ruling party said the character of the bloc will not change with the change of name.
