A SELF-PROCLAIMED “film nerd” has unearthed a 100-year-old Scottish movie that could rewrite the history of the industry, but had to spend over three years fighting to have his discovery acknowledged, The National can reveal.
Marc David Jacobs, an amateur film historian and writer, has discovered evidence that the world’s first ever feature film was in fact recorded and premiered in Scots and not in English.
