An explosion near a ship in the Red Sea on Monday is suspected to have been an attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels, according to authorities. Fortunately, the blast caused no damage, and no injuries were reported. The master of the vessel confirmed the explosion, stating that all crew members were safe.

Private security firm Ambrey suggested that the incident may have involved a missile, but details remain limited at this time. The Houthis, known for their attacks, did not immediately claim responsibility for the explosion, a pattern they typically follow.

This recent incident follows a Houthi missile strike on a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden last week, resulting in the tragic deaths of three crew members and forcing survivors to abandon the vessel. This attack marked the first fatal strike in a series of assaults by the Iranian-backed group, which they claim are in response to Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip.

The Houthis have stated that their attacks are aimed at pressuring Israel to halt the conflict, although recent targets seem to have little connection to the ongoing conflict. In addition to the ship attacks, the Houthis also targeted a cargo vessel carrying fertilizer last month, causing it to sink after drifting for several days. Furthermore, they downed an American drone valued at tens of millions of dollars in a separate incident.
