Torrential monsoon rains have triggered devastating flash floods in a popular mountain village in southern New Mexico, leaving at least three people missing and sweeping an entire house downstream on Tuesday.
Emergency crews have since carried out at least 85 swift water rescues in the Ruidoso area, freeing residents trapped in their homes and cars, according to Danielle Silva of the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
