An autumnal mix of wind and rain is on the cards for the North East over the next few days.
If you're heading out, then it will be worth bringing a coat and umbrella, as the Met Office is predicting that there will be showers and gusty winds on Thursday and Friday. However, it's not all bad, as there will be some sunny spells that look set to bring a bit of brightness amidst the changeable weather.
On Thursday morning, there will be some sunshine and clouds with highs of 15°C before the afternoon turns cloudy and overcast with some evening rain. There will also be some strong winds with gusts as high as 29 mph.
