Hour-by-hour North East forecast on Friday and what you can expect for the Newcastle match this weekend

Make sure to bring your umbrella if you're heading out on Friday morning as it looks set to pour down.

The Met Office has forecast heavy rain until 12pm on October 7, however, come the afternoon there will be plenty of sunny spells as the mixed bag of autumnal weather continues. The day will also remain cool with highs of just 13°C.

Looking ahead to Saturday, those planning on travelling to Newcastle to watch the match against Brentford at St James' Park will be pleased to know that it will be a dry day with some sunshine, with temperatures remaining at 13°C.
