The owner of a three-star Blackpool hotel that was criticised by a guest for its "overpriced" rooms and "thin" pillows hilariously replied to the review, telling the customer to find "somewhere more fitting" next time.
The Royal Seabank Hotel on Blackpool Promenade is one of the most popular hotels in the Lancashire town and has a score of 4/5 on TripAdvisor, with several positive reviews.
It boasts 120 en-suite bedrooms with a wide variety of family rooms, double rooms, twin rooms and single rooms and superior sea view rooms.
Guests often praise the hotel's location, clean rooms and spacious bathrooms - but occasionally some people are not so happy, reports LancsLive.
Recently, one wrote: "The only thing I liked about this hotel was location! Mattress and pillows so thin with no support. Red lift didn’t work, receptionist never there to complain. Please save some money on the entertainment and update this tired place!"
The Royal Seabank has refuted the claims in regards to its cleanliness and suggested that the guests stay elsewhere on their next visit to the town.
Owner John Westhead said: "As you will see from other reviews, this review doesn't reflect the vast majority of comments. As they say, you can't please all of the people all of the time and your are entitled to your opinion.
"Myself and the vast majority of our guest would appear to disagree with your comments.
"Reception is managed at all times and on the rare occasion we may have to respond to a situation a sign is placed on the reception indicating where to direct your enquiry.
"I will be continuing to invest in the entertainment as this is something we are very proud of and something our guests love about us.
"I would suggest it may be better if you find somewhere more fitting for your needs to stay next time."
Despite some negative comments, most of the reviews the hotel receives are positive with one reading: "Great location, room very clean and spacious bathroom.
"Although I personally prefer a buffet breakfast, the breakfast was lovely with plenty staff serving. Entertainment top class, Wouldn’t hesitate to return."
Another guest wrote: "Five star Blackpool hotel. Refurbished rooms are lovely! Food to a very good standard. The staff make this place a place you want to return. Every member of staff from housekeeping to entertainers put in the that bit extra. Should out to all the restaurant staff. It is no easy task feeding the herds at breakfast and dinner but they make it appear a breeze."
One more added: "Spotlessly clean and friendly hotel. Enjoyed 2 nights trip to Blackpool. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Only stayed room only, small single, bed wardrobe table and chair. Nice modern and clean bathroom toilet sink and shower. Good location for everything in Blackpool. Well done everyone."
