Hot mics picked up a hilarious NSFW exchange between Houston Astros hitting coach Alex Cintrón and home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi Tuesday night.
After a questionable called strike in the sixth inning of the Astros’ game against the Orioles, Cuzzi got in a shouting match with Cintrón and the Astros bench. Cuzzi eventually steps out from behind home plate to give a warning: “I’m not going to f—-ing listen to you.”
Cintrón clearly didn’t take kindly to that, responding “F--- you!”
Then, the mics picked up Cuzzi’s immediate response:
“F--- me? F--- you!” as he ejected Cintrón from the game.
Here’s the clip of the exchange (Obvious warning: You will hear bad words in this video):
Oh buddy, the mics are hot tonight. Phil Cuzzi don't care. pic.twitter.com/EeZP3L52oD

Cuzzi clearly wasn’t happy with Cintrón’s bickering about balls and strikes, though rarely do we get such an unfiltered back-and-forth between coaching staff and umpire on video. This doesn’t top the legendary Terry Collins/Tom Haillion “our a— is in the jackpot” video, but it’s still pretty epic.
I still say a pay-per-view with uncensored mic’d-up umpires and coaches would be amazing content. But for as long as that isn’t in the cards, we’ll take hot mic moments like this.
