Police were forced to close a busy Scots road after five vehicles crashed into each other on the A92 in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway near Lochgelly shortly before 5pm on Monday, May 15.
It is not currently known whether anyone was injured. But fellow motorists were warned to expect lengthy delays.
Pictures from the scene show lengthy tailbacks as first responders dealt with the collision. Traffic Scotland tweeted: “The eastbound carriageway remains closed due to a multi vehicle collision.
“Emergency services are at the scene. Approx 25 minute delay above normal on the approach to the closure.”
Police Scotland also confirmed they were in attendance. The road has since fully reopened, however, traffic is taking time to clear.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.50pm on Monday, 15 May, to a report of a crash involving five vehicles on the A92 east of the Lochgelly Interchange. Recovery was arranged and the road was cleared around 6.15pm.”
