The family of missing DoorDash driver Shanteria Mosley, 26, reportedly found her dismembered torso in a plastic tub at an apartment complex in Smyrna, Georgia, after she left her Atlanta home on Wednesday morning and did not return. The Smyrna Police Department said investigators believed the victim was Mosley.
For context, police said Mosley worked as a DoorDash driver but was not logged on or accepting orders the day she disappeared. Her family tracked her phone to the Park Valley Apartments complex and searched the surrounding woods and grassy area, according to Mosley's aunt, Michelle Weaver.
DoorDash Driver's Family Continued Searching
Weaver told 11Alive that the family found Mosley's car and called police. She alleged that responding officers did not stay long and left after knocking on 'three guys' doors'.
The family kept searching, 11Alive reported. Back at the car, they saw a man watching from an apartment window. They knocked on his door, but he said he had not seen anyone get out of Mosley's car.
Weaver said she later saw the man, identified as 18-year-old Kingston Bradley, carrying what looked like a laundry bag with a plastic tub inside. She claimed he dropped the bag and ran. According to 11Alive, the family subsequently found Mosley's dismembered torso in the container.
'All we see is the boy,' Weaver told 11Alive. 'Throwing a bag, like something with a cloth. It's like a bag kind of cloth, like maybe a laundry bag, and it had like a container in it. He kind of threw it and he ran.'
Evidence in the DoorDash Driver Investigation
Police arrested Bradley after finding blood stains and a large bloody saw inside his apartment. Investigators also found a mop bucket, a mop and a carpet cleaner, and reported smelling bleach in the home.
On Friday, police said they executed a search warrant on a vehicle and found garbage bags in the trunk. One bag, officers said, was pulled tightly enough to show the outline of a body part.
'Based on the information we have at this time, we do believe the victim to be Shanteria Mosley known as "KT" by her friends and family,' police said.
Lieutenant Meredith Holt of the Smyrna Police Department called it 'a particularly gruesome crime'. 'I know that they are looking for answers and grieving at the same time. We're continuing to work this case,' she said. Authorities are still investigating whether Mosley and Bradley knew each other.
DoorDash Driver Case and Bradley's Earlier Charges
Bradley has been charged with murder and concealing the death of another. He is being held without bond. Those charges are allegations and do not establish guilt.
Separately, warrants and an indictment arising from an alleged confrontation with his father in December 2024 accuse Bradley of striking him with an Xbox controller, breaking down a bedroom door and pushing a 15-year-old into a window. Bradley faced two counts of terroristic threats, battery, simple battery and criminal trespass involving property damage.
He was treated as a juvenile defendant and released on a $3,500 bond. Bradley pleaded not guilty at an April arraignment, and a calendar call is scheduled for 6 October.
His father, Ken Williams, expressed condolences to Mosley's family in a Facebook post. Williams said Bradley had dealt with mental illness for six years, denied any involvement or prior knowledge of the incident, and said he was cooperating with detectives.
Weaver said she wanted her niece remembered for 'her smiles, laughter, and just full of joy'.
