Getting lost in the middle of The Hoppings is something most of us have done at some point over the years, with the Big Wheel or Helter Skelter often becoming a pre-agreed reunion point where usually an assortment of missing bods can be found at any one time.
And how many times have you gone wandering around looking for a toilet? To make life easier for the thousands of families who will be flocking to the Town Moor to enjoy their annual treat during its June 16-25 run, the company behind it has produced a site map showing visitors the fair layout and how to get around.
The map reveals the locations of the rides stretched out in the usual way between the main entrance at the 'top' of the site and the bottom entrance. It shows four entrance points in all and the car park area where space is available to pre-book.

A central aluminium trackway runs down the length of The Hoppings site to help make it more accessible for wheelchair users and four toilet blocks - which will be cleaned throughout the day - are spread across the site and will include baby-changing facilities and toilets for those with disabilities. There will be ramps and handrails around rides and attractions but certain rides will not be suitable for some disabilities.
The map shows the Feast Street main food area in the top half of the site and situated opposite the Big Wheel. Shown running down both sides of the central aisle of rides is the spread of stalls and sideshows.
The map also highlights areas for medics, police and also lost children. The Hoppings' website says the fairgound will have cashpoints too.
The site map, with a QR code, can be downloaded on its Facebook page - see here - and also will be positioned around The Hoppings itself. If all else fails and someone still gets lost, there will be on-site stewards and security available to help.
