Robinhood Markets (HOOD) shares opened comfortably in the green on Wednesday as the fintech giant made a flurry of product announcements at its Investor Summit. The online brokerage unveiled a shift to 24/7 stock trading, including weekend transactions, alongside new active-trader tools like perpetual futures and artificial intelligence (AI) trading agents.
Robinhood stock has been in a massive uptrend since late March, currently trading about 80% above its year-to-date low.
Significance of New Features for Robinhood Stock
Robinhood’s transition to true 24/7 trading for U.S. stocks marks a structural shift for retail investing, allowing users to trade select stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) around the clock on weekends.
Moreover, the fintech platform launched Robinhood Agents, an autonomous AI trading system, expanded options trading hours by 35%, added up to 4x intraday margin power, and introduced U.S. perpetual futures contracts via Bitstamp.
These high-margin features are decidedly bullish for HOOD shares as they stand to capture global demand, expand monetization beyond traditional market hours, and deepen platform engagement among sophisticated retail traders.
Barchart currently holds an “88% BUY” average opinion on Robinhood, indicating technical momentum is largely in its favor for the near term.
Morgan Stanley Reiterates Bullish View on HOOD Shares
Robinhood’s new offering made Morgan Stanley’s top analyst Michael Cyprys reiterate his bullish view on the fintech stock.
According to him, these rollouts reinforce his thesis that “HOOD’s expanding platform can drive more assets/customers, more activity/customer and greater monetization of that activity.”
Cyprys maintained an “Overweight” rating on Robinhood shares, with a $150 price target that signals potential upside of another 32% from here.
In short, he expects HOOD’s new feature to continue converting its 28 million accounts into higher revenue per user, which may drive the company’s share price up further over time.
Wall Street’s View on Robinhood Markets
While not as bullish as Morgan Stanley, other Wall Street firms also remain constructive on HOOD stock for the remainder of 2026.
The consensus rating on Robinhood Markets sits at “Strong Buy,” with the mean price target of about $133 indicating potential upside of roughly 15% from current levels.
