People lucky enough to live in the UK's favourite seaside towns where houses sell for a fraction of the country's average say it feels like they're on holiday every day.
With its two beautiful beaches, North Bay Beach and South Bay Beach, Scarborough has been attracting holidaymakers for centuries.
As well as a great access to the occasionally sparkling North Sea, the town is filled with tourist delights, including plentiful fish and chip shops, excellent ice cream and the 12th-century Scarborough Castle.
The North Yorkshire coastal spot was recently recognised as the UK's favourite seaside town in a consumer survey by Which?, with many telling the consumer publication of the excellent days out they'd spent in the northern town, Yorkshire Live reported.

The love felt for Scarborough is also shared by those who live in the town all year round and not just those who come to enjoy it on a sunny summer's day.
Athi, a father who relocated from South Africa, said that living in the Yorkshire seaside destination makes him feel as if he is on a perma-holiday.
"It feels like we're on holiday living here, rather than here to work," he told YorkshireLive.
"It's so beautiful - we have a lovely view and we love to sit at our window and watch the waves. It's very friendly too - our neighbours are nice, though I think most of the other flats are holiday apartments.
"We've got quite a good price for it and we're close to town. It gets very busy - we arrived on Easter weekend and it was packed, but we really like it here."
Despite its popularity, Scarborough has managed to maintain relatively affordable house prices, with a one-bedroom flat with sea views on the market for just £135,000.
Tom Nicholls, another local resident, expressed his contentment about living in Scarborough, highlighting the affordable house prices as a good reason to stay.
He said: "It's not that expensive here to own a two-bed flat It's beautiful here - we wanted the view. We can see the entire seafront from our front window.
"It is actually quite a quiet building considering we're on the seafront. But it does get busy in the summer and parking is the most annoying.
"Our families love coming and staying. I moved here from near York for work but I don't think I'd live anywhere else but Scarborough now."
Last week, Scarborough was recognised as the UK's favourite seaside town in a survey conducted by consumer champion Which?, based on the opinions of more than 3,000 people.
While there you can visit Scarborough Castle, take a cruise along the harbour, enjoy traditional fish and chips, go whale watching, or take a ride on the historic Scarborough Spa Express.
Bamburgh in Northumberland secured the top spot for the third consecutive year, earning an impressive destination score of 88 per cent.
Dartmouth in Devon closely followed Bamburgh with a score of 85 per cent. Dartmouth received a perfect five-star rating for its scenery and accommodation, while also receiving four stars for shopping, seafront, food and drink options, and tourist attractions.
