The Home Office is investigating allegations racist WhatsApp messages were sent by immigration staff at a firm paid to escort migrants to detention centres.

The messages, allegedly sent by workers for Mitie included offensive remarks about Syrian refugees, Chinese people, MP Diane Abbott and home secretary Priti Patel, according to the Sunday Mirror.
