Hollyoaks aired danger for two residents on Wednesday night, as a life-changing secret was revealed.
Warren Fox sought revenge on Norma Crow, leading to a shocking confession - before both characters took a deadly plunge.
His son Joel Dexter had been threatened by Norma, who wanted him out the way - believing he was a distraction for Warren who had started working for her.
As the gangster continued to mess with the villagers, Warren was furious to learn Norma had set him up to kill Joel recently, while Joel survived.
This and the latest threat was enough to send Warren her way and he plotted to kill her, dangling her off of a platform in a warehouse.
But she quickly dropped a bombshell that Warren did not see coming, as she revealed she was his biological mother.
Warren's parents supposedly died when he was young with him soon placed into care.
But Norma explained in the latest episode that it was all a lie, and she gave him up fearing her criminal world was too dangerous for him.
After commenting on his blue eyes, she claimed he had inherited them from his mother before saying: "My eyes, my baby blues... hello, son."
As Warren questioned how this was even possible, she revealed that she gave him up and never saw him again to protect him.
She said her life was too dangerous and she "worried she would put him in danger", adding: "Maybe I loved you so much, the only way to keep you safe was to give you away."
Things escalated though as one of Norma's associates crept in to rescue her, only for her to take Warren by surprise.
As he tried to get away, he ended up knocking Norma off the high platform, and fell to the ground below with her.
Both of the pair remained lifeless on the ground as the associate called for an ambulance - but will one of them be killed off?
Viewers watching the scenes were divided, as many shared their shock over the twist while others called it "predictable".
One said: "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT," as another tweeted: "OMG!!! It’s true!!!"
Another fan said: "Norma being Warren's mother? Least surprising surprise reveal EVER," while a different viewer agreed: "Well that was obvious warren."
It comes as Hollyoaks aired the death of serial killer Silas Blissett on Wednesday night.
He wasn't the only character to die, as he managed to claim one more victim before he was murdered by his grandson Bobby Costello.
He was almost thwarted by police officer Lexi Calder, but he managed to trick her and murdered her in shocking scenes.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode on at 7pm on E4.
