Holly Willoughby has shown off her impressive baking skills ahead of her Coronation celebrations this weekend.

The This Morning host, 42, wowed her fans with her hidden talent, which took her two days to complete.

The presenter admitted she "can't wait" to have a slice of the giant crown-shaped cake but is resisting until the big day tomorrow.

Holly looked overjoyed with her creation as she posted a snap on her Instagram.

Going with the patriotic theme by wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans, she beamed as she held up the impressive cake for fans to see.

Holly wrote alongside the pic: "Well @julietsear and @thismorning I did it!!! Started it last night and just finished… don’t look too closely…

The cake was shaped like a crown, with large edible jewels attached and white frosting for the fur.

Holly was flooded with comments from impressed celeb pals.

Baking expert Juliet Sear said: "Holly this EPIC!!! SO COOL you nailed this! [clapping hands emoji] Well done and have a brilliant bank holiday weekend xxx."

"Brilliant! I stuffed a slice of Juliet’s yesterday and it was delish!," commented Alice Beer.

Holly's mum Lynn gushed: " Can’t wait to taste it tomorrow" and Holly added: "It does look like a golden jacket potato on top I know…"

Friday's special Coronation episode of This Morning had viewers divided (ITV1)

Friday's instalment of This Morning saw the show join forces with Coronation Street in a special tribute to King Charles ahead of his Coronation on Saturday.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary hosted Friday's instalment live from Weatherfield as part of ITV's coverage in the lead-up to King Charles' Coronation.

The Coronation Street party included Phil Vickery's 'royal rolls', ITV soap icons Ken Barlow star William Roache and Barbara Knox, who has played Rita Sullivan since 1964 and Coronation cocktails.

However, some viewers were left baffled by the collaboration, and took to Twitter to complain.

One viewer wrote: "This is gonna be awful #ThisMorning."

"#ThisMorning Nope, not sure I can be doing this, had enough all week already," another tweeted and a third added: "I’m sorry my toes are curling already #thismorning."

Someone else remarked: "3 minutes in and I’ve pretty much had as much cringe as I can tolerate. #ThisMorning."
