Holly Willoughby has addressed This Morning being cut off as Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned.
Mr Johnson quit at around 12.30pm on Thursday. Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield was cut off and the picture switched to ITV News for coverage of the resignation speech.
Holly and Phil had warned viewers during the show, which took place from This Morning's forest, that the programme could end at any minute due to the breaking news development.

Fortunately, the majority of This Morning aired. Following the show, Holly wrote on Instagram: "What a beautiful morning down at our @thismorning forest.
"The whole team showing why they are just so bloody brilliant all adapting to the mad and crazy world that was unfolding before us…
"Well done everyone. especially @julietsear who threw her ingredients into the pan today with such vigour… brilliant telly! So funny… thank you as always for watching…"
This Morning was not the only show to have a change in schedule. Loose Women did not air due to an extended ITV News programme covering Mr Johnson's resignation.
BBC Radio 4's schedule on Thursday morning was also adjusted to cover the stream of political news. The channel's flagship news programme Today, which was this morning hosted by presenters Nick Robinson and Mishal Husain, normally ends at 9am but was extended until 10am.
