Holly Willoughby reveals the racy costume lingerie she wore underneath her wedding dress

Holly Willoughby opened up about wedding day recently, with her revealing that she wore 1960s-inspired lingerie underneath her laced, vintage gown for the occasion.

The presenter, 41, tied the knot with producer Dan Baldwin, 47, at Amberley Castle in Sussex in 2007 - with the couple having met years earlier on ITV show Ministry of Mayhem.

She's spoken about the nuptials over the years, including in a recent Q&A post for her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon - ahead of celebrating 15 years of marriage next month.

Asked to share something about the wedding that nobody knows, Holly revealed in the piece that she wore a custom-made "bunny girl outfit" underneath her backless dress.

Answering the question in the Q&A, she said: "It's obviously very important to get your underwear right under your wedding dress, and even more so with a backless dress."

"My amazing dressmaker had a vintage pattern for a bunny girl outfit. She adapted a 1960's original bunny girl corset by cutting the back so low, it didn't show," she continued.

This Morning presenter Holly added that the dressmaker even produced a tail, saying: "She even made me a fluffy tail – but I’m not sure that ever saw the light of day!"

Holly explained elsewhere in the Q&A that she had a strong vision for what she wanted in terms of the wedding dress itself, with her recalling the features that she wanted.

She said that she wanted it to be "very vintage" and laced, with other specifications including long sleeves, a high neck, an open back and a lengthy train.

She's described their wedding day as 'overwhelming' (Instagram)

Dancing on Ice co-host Holly recalled that she had an old pair of red leather heeled shoes that she "loved," with a family friend remaking them for her in white satin.

Opening up about her wedding, the mother-of-three said that whilst she had expected it to be a "magical day," she hadn't realised that it would be so "overwhelming".

And sharing advice for brides-to-be in the Wylde Moon piece, she encouraged them "take it all in" during the festivities, because it's easy to get swept away with the day.
