Holly Willoughby mercilessly teased over Spin to Win blunder on This Morning

Holly Willoughby was teased by her pal Phillip Schofield on This Morning earlier after she spoiled a surprise for viewers about the Spin to Win segment on the show.

The presenter, 41, fronted the latest episode of the ITV show this morning alongside her co-host Phil, 60.

Viewers were in for a treat as the Spin to Win board had been changed to include six chances to win a holiday and £1,500 cash. There were still prizes of up to £3,000 too.

The chance to win a holiday had been revealed by Holly earlier in the programme, though she quickly suggested to viewers that she had accidentally spoiled the surprise.

Whilst discussing the schedule, Phil said: "We've got some brand new Spin to Win prizes. Have we? [...] What are they?" Holly responded: "Yeah. Holidays. [They're] on the board."

Holly however seemed to realise that she had spoiled the surprise, with her saying: "Oh! Did I just blow the tease? I think I did." She was seen with her hands over her mouth.

Teasing over the blunder, she said about the new prizes: "What could it be?" And her co-host Phil commented in response: "It's like I open the door and through you go!".

Phil further teased her over the blunder on two other occasions, saying at one point: "We're playing today's game of Spin to Win with lots of prizes that Holly's just told you!"

And he later said: "Could today be your lucky day? We'll be revealing our new ... well Holly's already told you ... our Spin to Win prizes [soon]!" Holly excitedly added: "Holiday!"

Phil - who is currently hosting Dancing on Ice with his pal Holly - also took the opportunity to defend her, saying after he had teased her: "She's normally very good with secrets".

The segment, which aired towards the end of the latest episode, saw a two viewers fail to provide the passphrase when called - which meant they didn't get to actually play.

Holly and Phil eventually heard the correct phrase from viewer Phillip from Acton. He opted to have Holly spin the tombola, rather than take his chances with the wheel itself.

He won a £1,000 holiday from Sykes Holiday Cottages and £1,500 cash. He also won a bag of merchandise after correctly answering a question about the Masked Singer.

He had to name the type of bird that comedian Katherine Ryan, 39, had been disguised as on the ITV contest. She was in the studio to discuss having been Pigeon on the show.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX.
