Holly Willoughby jokes as she shares problem during return to This Morning

Holly Willoughby addressed a problem during her return to This Morning and joked that she has been 'Glasto'd'. The daytime show returned to ITV for the first time this week on Monday (June 26) and Holly was missing.

Josie Gibson stepped in for her alongside Craig Doyle. There was no explanation why the 42-year-old was off however Craig confirmed that she would return to the show on Tuesday (June 27).

Holly’s return comes after she was spotted wearing a festival look as she boarded a helicopter alongside her husband Dan Baldwin and some pals and jetted to Glastonbury, reported MEN.

Holly returned to the ITV show as expected, but as there was an obvious change to her voice Craig asked her what was going on. "Hello, good morning and welcome to your Tuesday This Morning," Holly said.

Craig who was already looking at her suspiciously. "What's going on there?" he asked as Holly pointed to her throat and said: "What this?"

"A bit of a summer cold is it? A bit of summer allergies is it? Probably a bit of pollen..." Craig cheekily pressed before Holly admitted: "I've officially been Glasto'd. This is what this voice is. It's always the first thing to go and I blame Elton John for this because, did you see him on Sunday?"

She then went on: "He was so amazing. It was just one of the best things I've seen. The whole weekend was incredible but to finish on this moment... And I sang my socks off and now I sound like this. But honestly, it was just.. I just had the best weekend ever."

Holly added: "I think I wasn't the only one look, Dermot was with me," as a photo of the pair appeared on the screen. "I think we were watching Blondie at that point who was equally amazing."

The chat then moved onto Craig's weekend which saw him enjoying a singalong while live on Sky Sports with none other than Hollywood actor Bill Murray who whipped the presenting team into a rendition of Sweet Caroline. "But my voice seems to be fine," Craig mocked after viewers were shown a clip of the moment.

"I know, bare with me," Holly replied as Craig sat smugly alongside her. "I've got lots of hot drinks, I'm going to be fine!" she added. But Holly had already addressed the problem with her social media followers.

She posted a picture of her in her outfit and shared it with her millions of followers. She wrote:"Morning Tuesday… see you on @thismorning with @craigadoyle … may be slightly croaky today [frog emoji]. The wonderful @trinnywoodall returns… see you at 10am."

It came after Holly had confirmed that she spent her weekend enjoying the musical extravaganza that is Glatonbry by posting a rare photo of herself and her husband Dan Baldwin, with whom she shares her three children Harry, Belle and Chester, packing on a small but rare PDA.

"Glasto 2023," she simply captioned the photo as she shared it with her 8.3 million followers with a heart emoji. It showed the sun having already gone down on Worthy Farm as one of the trio of headliners took to the stage. Dan stood with his arm around his wife, who was still sporting her festival attire.

With her back to the camera, she could be seen wearing a white crocheted cover-up that had been tied with a black belt to show off her sensational curves which she appeared to be wearing over a black dress before completing her look with a black fedora.
