As one of Britain’s most in-demand TV presenters, Holly Willoughby is a near-ubiquitous presence on the box. But viewers have been left perplexed as she prepares to go head-to-head against herself in the prime time 9pm slot tonight (May 10).
The 41-year-old has recently been fronting the BBC show Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof. The show follows a group of celebrities as they face up to some of their deepest anxieties while subjecting themselves to sub-zero temperatures.
But this week, she’s also co-presenting ITV’s The Games alongside Top Gear’s Freddie Flintoff. The celebrity reality sports show is making its debut on ITV this year, having previously aired on Channel 4 from 2003 to 2006.

In The Games, 12 celebrities are competing to become one of the two winners crowned at the end of the competition. They include former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, Christine McGuinness, influencer Phoenix Brown and Rebecca Sarker of Emmerdale.
Also taking part are former Love Island contestants Wes Nelson and Olivia Attwood, Strictly Come Dancing’s Kevin Clifton, Max George of boy band The Wanted, footballer and songwriter Chelcee Grimes, Josh Herdman of Harry Potter fame, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini and Corrie’s Colson Smith.
Holly has had to take a week away from her regular This Morning slot while she hosts The Games, which ends on Friday (May 13). She wrote on Instagram that she was “going to miss my @thismorning family this week”.
Joining Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff on The Games are trackside reporters Alex Scott and Chris Kamara. Kamara recently announced that he was standing down from his role on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday after 24 years on the football round-up show.
The latest episode of Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof - the fifth in the current series - airs tonight on BBC One at 9pm. The sixth and final episode will be broadcast next Tuesday, May 17th.
