Holly Willoughby was forced to apologise for losing her composure and Phil Schofield gave her a telling off as she dissolved into fits of laughter. It all unfolded on This Morning when they were discussing Burns Night with Gok Wan and back in the studio was W1A actor Sarah Parish.
Predictably it all descended into chaos, with Holly reduced to tears of laughter as she got the pronunciation of a Scottish delicacy horribly wrong. After watching Gok and others at Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire raise a glass to celebrate, Holly told him that she would be toasting later on with their meal.
Speaking to Gok, who was at the castle for a piece on Burns Night, Holly said: “We’re going to toast later - we’ve got some whisky to have with our tovies.” Phil immediately corrected her to “Stovies.”

Stovies are a Scottish dish made from potatoes and often leftover meat. This stew-like recipe uses whatever you happen to have to hand - perfect for soaking up the booze on Burns Night. Gok said: “Make sure you do, we’ve got so much whisky here.”
Phil and Holly were then in fits of laughter as Phil mockingly said: “Tovies. Holly has decided today not to use the letter ‘s’.” Holly then hit Phil with her script before continuing: “Best of luck with that, thank you very much Gok.”
She tried to continue again but then said: ”I can feel you laughing at me. Just stop it.” She then said to guest Sarah: “Sorry.” Phil added: “But now, try and be professional, Sarah Parish is going from screen to stage.”
