Holly Willoughby 'almost threw up' after seeing Connor Ball's Dancing on Ice injury

Phillip Schofield has revealed that Holly Willoughby "almost threw up" after seeing Connor Ball's Dancing on Ice injury in the flesh.

Connor, 25, fell over during his performance with partner Alexandra Schauman last Sunday evening and ended up bleeding.

The duo were skating with a mop and bucket as part of Props Week but unfortunately Connor tripped and one of the skate's blades sliced into him.

Before Connor's performance tonight, Phillip, 59, spoke about mother-of-three Holly feeling queasy.

"It's time for a quick break but when we come back... he's been tripped up, stitched up, he's next up.

"Last week when Holly saw his injuries she almost threw up!" he then added as Holly confirmed it was true.

Phil explained that he and Holly had looked over the balcony when the paramedic was tending to Connor and ended up seeing the full extent of his "gruesome" injury.

And before Connor's pre-recorded VT was shown, Phillip told viewers: "If you're squeamish you might want to look away from this."

In the clip, Connor admitted that the medics stitched him up and it was all a blur as he couldn't even remember the judges commenst after his accident.

"In total I've had 19 stitches which I think is a Dancing on Ice record!" he added.

Luckily, Connor didn't fall over during Torvill and Dean Week this Sunday as he and Alexandra Schauman danced to Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel.

The duo received a total score of 35 and sailed through to the semi-final as Stef Reid became the latest celebrity to be voted off.

Connor will join Brendan Cole, Kye Whyte, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne in week nine of the competition - where there will be the first double elimination of the series.

Dancing on Ice continues Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
