Holly Willougby missing from This Morning as she's replaced on the ITV daytime show

Those tuning into This Morning on Monday, June 26 might be wondering where Holly Willoughby is. The presenter has been hosting ITV's flagship daytime show alongside members of This Morning's family since Phillip Schofield's exit.

After a two-week stint alongside Dermot O'Leary, the 42-year-old was set to take on presenting duties with Irish presenter Craig Doyle, however, she was replaced by Josie Gibson.

The show opened with an Elton John tribute following his amazing weekend performance at Glastonbury Festival, where Holly was among the revellers, reports OK Magazine. And while Craig and Josie did acknowledge Holly's absence, the reason behind it was not shared with viewers.

Confirming when Holly would be returning, Craig said: "Holly's off today, she'll be back with us tomorrow, we are with you all morning and we have got a great show for you."

It comes after Craig recently announced he would be Holly's co-host for the next two weeks. Craig's management revealed he would appear on the famous blue sofa alongside Holly for a fortnight on social media from Monday, June 26.

Crown Talent Management said: "@craigadoyle will be joining @hollywilloughby for two weeks on @thismorning! Catch them week days at 10am on @itv from Next Monday." The 52-year-old shared the statement on his Instagram page and wrote: "Enjoying being part of the family."

This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
